Guys dad died from using the gates, and Guy should have died (she was living hot charcoal) but Naruto managed to save him. The gates technique I believe is "forbidden" like multi shadow clown due to it's danger to the user.

This was a really nice episode that targeted living with disabilities (I have mental and physical disabilities from military service). I think Rock Lee needs to do what he did with Might Guy more and train in the open throughout the village. Give Metal Lee more control of his anxiety. Regardless, Metal Lee unlocked the anxiety fist, first gate of opening, and used the leaf hurricane, this training improved him greatly, but he has a long way to go. Mental illness is hard!
